OPERATIONS IN NETWORK

We inform you that starting from 5 September 2012 a new dashboard is installed on the re. vehicles; this dashboard has a new passenger side airbag module (1 - Fig. 1), part no. 735576544.

The pre-modification passenger side airbag module, part no. 735526938, will be handled at the Spare Parts Dpt. until stocks finish.

On pre-modification vehicles the new passenger side airbag module (1 Fig. 1) - part number 735576544 - taken from the Spare Parts Dpt. - can be retrofitted - see Op. 5580C22 of the Service Manual, taken from the Spare Parts Dpt., proceeding as follows.

OPERATION CYCLE

COMPULSORY follow all the recommended safety instructions, see 5580C - GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE AIRBAG SYSTEM.

Before installing the new passenger side airbag module on the pre-modification dashboard, proceed as follows.

• Place the new airbag module (1) on the bench, in the position shown in Fig. 2.
• Use a cutter to remove the ribs from the locating pad, as shown in detail (A), until getting the shape shown in detail (B).

Install the new passenger side airbag, with reference to Op. 5580C22 of the Service Manual.
