Check the condition of the ignition switch

Check whether the electrical switch is free from visible breakage

Switch damaged, replace the steering lock

Electrical checks on the switch

Disconnect the connections and check (with a multimeter) that the circuits 30-15/54, 30_INT/A and 30-50 (and the PARK- POS circuit if present on the connection) are open in the Stop position on the switch (see fig.)

Circuit(s) closed, replace the steering lock
