HIGH PRESSURE

LOW PRESSURE

SYMPTOMS

POSSIBLE CAUSES

OPERATION

Normal

Normal

Mild temperature at vents

Excessive system oil level

Drain the climate control system.

Clean the entire system, removing oil and residues, then recharge it.

Air/moisture in the system

High

High

Low pressure pipe colder than the evaporator

Expansion valve too open

Replace the expansion valve

Op. 5040B30 EXPANSION VALVE (ORIFICE TUBE) - R+R

Check if the high pressure drops by pouring water on the condenser

1) Excessive system coolant.

2) Condenser fan faulty

3) Condenser blocked

1) Drain the system and recharge it

2) Check/replace the condenser fan

3) Clean the condenser

High and low pressure reach the same value as soon as the compressor deactivates and both vary when the compressor is operating

1) Exhaust valve faulty

2) Gaskets faulty

Replace the compressor

Op. 5040A20 AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR - R.R. INCLUDES CHECKING FLUID LEVEL AND TOPPING UP IF NECESSARY

Low

Low

Mild temperature at vents

Low level of coolant gas in the system caused by the presence of leaks

Restore the correct operation, then drain the system and recharge it.

Low pressure pipe and pipe end are colder than the evaporator.

Obstructions on the low pressure side

Repair/replace the pipes

High

Low

Ice on pipes

Obstructions in the air conditioning system

Restore correct operation

Ice on evaporator

Evaporator blocked

Replace the evaporator

Op. 5040C64 A/C EVAPORATOR - R+R
