Removing ( Refitting )

- Turn the ignition key to the STOP position.

- Open the bonnet.

- Position a suitable container for collecting the coolant fluid.

- Unscrew the coolant fluid inlet plug and empty the contents of the reservoir using a suitable syringe.

1. Open the retaining band (1a), release from the fastener and disconnect the degassing pipe (1b) from the engine cooling radiator.

2. Open the retaining band (2a), release from the fastener and disconnect the degassing pipe (2b) for the EGR heat exchanger.

1. Undo the two nuts (1a) fixing the coolant reservoir (1b) to the power steering fluid reservoir (1c).

2. Undo the screw fixing the coolant reservoir.

1. Open the retaining band and disconnect the cooling system supply pipe.

2. Lift the coolant reservoir (2a) until the pins (2b) are released from the relevant holes on the mounting bracket, then remove the reservoir.

Collect any coolant that comes out.

Refitting ( Removing )

- Check that the coolant reservoir is not damaged.

- Place the reservoir in position, inserting the pins in the holes in the mounting bracket.

- Connect the cooling system supply pipe to the coolant reservoir and close the retaining band.

- Tighten the screw fixing the coolant reservoir.

- Tighten the two nuts fixing the coolant reservoir to the power steering fluid reservoir.

- Connect the EGR heat exchanger degassing pipe to the coolant reservoir, close the retaining band and engage it in the fastener on the reservoir.

- Connect the engine coolant radiator degassing pipe to the coolant reservoir, close the retaining band and engage it in the fastener on the reservoir.

Op. 0010T21 ENGINE COOLANT - CHECK DENSITY AND TOP UP LEVEL IF NECESSARY

- Close the bonnet.
