The vehicle is equipped with two high beams in the front headlights.

The main beams are activated by operating the left steering wheel stalk:

  • with the dipped headlights on, by pulling the lever towards the steering wheel (2nd unstable position);

  • in flashing mode, irrespective of the position of the lights selection ring nut, by pulling the lever towards the steering wheel (1st unstable position);

To switch the main beam headlights off, pull the lever again towards the steering wheel (the dipped headlights come on again).

The activation of the main beam headlamps is managed by the Body Computer.

A special relay switch built into the Body Computer controls the activation of the main beam headlights via two lines protected by dedicated fuses: the main beam headlights are then activated with the key to MAR-ON enablement signals and the specific steering column stalk control signal.

Activation and/or deactivation information is sent through the CAN: in this way, the "main beam" warning light switches on in the instrument panel.

For legal reasons, if the dusk sensor is active, only the flasher and not the fixed main beams can be activated; the AUTO function must be switched off to activate these lights.
