The values for average consumption and average speed are inconsistent - Service Solution


Cancels and replaces the following Service News:

  • SN 55.23.15 of 25/09/2015 to specify application starting from chassis number 2243283 only.
  • • SN 55.23.15 of 05/10/2015 to update fault code.

CLAIMED FAULT

The average consumption and speed values shown on the instrument are not inconsistent. After resetting Trip A and Trip B, all the values shown by the Trip Computer are correct; after about 1000 km, the average consumption and average speed have inconsistent values again.

TECHNICAL CAUSE

Software calibration not ideal.

OPERATIONS AT THE DEALERSHIPS

DEALERSHIP BEHAVIOUR STANDARDS TOWARDS THE CUSTOMER

  • Once the customer's claimed fault is confirmed, reassure the Customer that the problem will be solved by reprogramming the instrument panel.
  • After the operation, illustrate what has been done and make sure the Customer is satisfied.

Service Solution

For vehicles from chassis number 2243283 onlyonce the customer's claimed fault is confirmed, reprogramme the instrument panel according to the Operating Cycle below.

OPERATION CYCLE

Connect the diagnosis equipment wiTECHPlus and, through Examiner Emulator, reprogramme the instrument panel using the WEB Flash 12.03.0 (or higher), available from wiTEXEDi.

The vehicle battery must be in full charge conditions or supported by a battery charger/booster battery so as to ensure a rated voltage of 12 V during reprogramming.
