Test results |
Check that the gas charge in the system is correct |
Go to Step 2 |
Gas charge not correct |
Restore the correct gas charge |
With the engine running and the climate control system on (compressor button ON), check that the leak is by the system pipe housings or the seat for the drier filter or the pipe couplings on the evaporator assembly |
Go to Step 3 |
Leakage identified on the climate control system circuit |
Restore the seal of the circuit or, if necessary, replace the evaporator assembly |
Withdraw the pipes from the compressor and make sure that the O-rings on the pipes are correctly positioned; specifically check whether there has been pinching |
Go to Step 4 |
O-ring seal failure |
Replace the O-rings and refit the pipes on the compressor |
Check that the leakage is on other components of the cooling system, specifically other components/pipes of the cooling system, the evaporator or the compressor |
End of diagnosis |
Leakage detected on the examined components |
Restore the seal of the components on which the leakage has been detected and, if necessary, replace them |
