The Bluetooth control unit M162 receives a power supply, at pin 16, directly from the battery via the line protected by fuse F36 of the Body Computer M001 (pin 10 of connector G).

The Bluetooth control unit M162 receives an INT ignition-operated power supply at pin 32 along the line protected by fuse F49 of the Body Computer M001 (pin 15 of connector G).

Control unit M162 is connected to the centre dashboard earth C022 via pin 15 (connector B).

The CAN line, through which the Bluetooth control unit M162 is connected to the other network nodes, arrives at pin 14 and 30 of connector A.

It is connected to the radio P020, via pins 7, 23 and 25, sending the "Audio +", "Audio -" and "Mute" signals to pins 7, 8 and 9 respectively of connector C of P020, thereby using the speakers for voice messages and hands-free communication.

The control unit M162 is connected, through pins 5, 22 and 21 to radio P020 (pins 1, 2 and 3 of connector C) to manage the signals for content playback with the media player function: AUX left, AUX right and AUX earth signals respectively.

The Media Player USB socket P143 is connected to the Bluetooth control unit M162, at pins 3, 4, 19, 20 and 31 respectively, with signals: signal D+, reference earth, signal D-, 5V power supply and shielding.

The hands-free microphone P026, built-into the front courtesy light, is connected to pin 8 of M162, whilst pin 24 is prepared for the cable screening.

The Body Computer M001 is connected to the radio controls on the steering wheel via the clock spring D047. Specifically:

  • the reference earth signal from pin 53 of connector H of M001 is received at pin 2 of D047;

  • the signal is sent (through a dedicated resistive divider), from pin 3 of D047, for the MUTE/ESC, WINDOWS logo, VOL+ and VOL- controls (located to the left of the steering wheel) to pin 38 of connector H of M001;

  • the signal is sent (through a dedicated resistive divider), from pin 4 of D047, for the SOURCE/OK, TEL/MAIN, SCAN+ and SCAN- controls (located to the right of the steering wheel) to pin 51 of connector H of M001.
