The door locking/unlocking function is managed by the Body Computer.

Body Computer M001 receives the following inputs:

  • lock/unlock signals from the aerial-receiver of remote control unit P093, which is connected to pins 15 (signal) and 30 (earth) of connector F;

  • lock/unlock signals from the key pawl in driver-side door lock geared motor N050 (pin 4), at pin 53 of connector F;

  • the negative signal from the locking/unlocking button, located in control panel H090 (pin 1), at pin 1 of connector H.

The signalling/deterrence LED on the button of control panel H090 (pin 12) is activated by a positive signal from pin 23 of connector H of the Body Computer M001; pin 4 of H090 is connected to the central dashboard earth C022 (connector A).

According to the control logic illustrated, the Body Computer M001 (through fuse F38 and the built in relay switches) controls the geared motors for the driver's side N050 and passenger side N051 front door locks, in particular:

  • pin 32 of connector E sends the common power supply to the motors of the doors (pin 7);

  • pin 18 of connector E operates the door locking/unlocking motors (pin 6);

  • pin 3 of connector E operates the motors for the dead-lock function for all doors (pin 8).

When the doors are opened, pins 4 of the front doors geared motors N050 and N051 send a negative signal to switch on the front roof light.

The Body Computer M001 also receives the signal relating to the activation of the inertia switch I050 (negative signal) at pin 25 of connector D.

The Body Computer sends the instrument panel E050 all the information useful for the management of the "doors open" and "general failure" warning lights (if the inertia switch activates) and the buzzer in the instrument panel via the B-CAN through pins 11 and 26 of connector H.
