Check whether the rotor exits

After removing the key, check the complete movement/exit of the rotor

The rotor exits correctly (see ref. B)

The rotor does not exit correctly (see ref. A)

Remove the lock and replace it if necessary

Check whether steering locking failure persists

Check whether steering locking failure persists after moving the steering column to the various adjustment positions available for the car model

1) If the steering locks only in one of the possible adjustment positions, remove the steering lock and go to Step 3

2) The steering locking failure persists in all positions, go to Step 3

Check that the catch has exited

With the item removed, check that the catch has exited

The catch exits correctly (see ref. C)

Refit the steering lock and check for any obstructions on the steering column

The catch does not exit (see ref. D)

Replace the steering lock
