The "Mode +" and "Mode -" controls (pins 5 and 6) located in the left control panel H091 send analogue signals to the instrument panel E050 (pins 13 and 16). Pin 2 of H091 receives the reference earth from pin 36 of connector H of the Body Computer M001.

The Body computer M001 (pins 11 and 26 of connector H) is connected, via the CAN line, to the instrument panel E050 (pins 5 and 6) from which it receives the "brightness adjustment" signal which is transmitted to the other network nodes (for example, to the radio P020 and to the climate control system control unit M070).

    See E1050 CAN CONNECTION LINES

The activation signal for the side lights reaches pin 42 of connector H of M001 from the steering column stalk H005 (pin 7 of connector A).

    See E2010 SIDE LIGHTS / NO. PLATE LIGHTS

The side lights on power supply is sent by Body Computer M001, respectively:

  • from pin 50 of connector H, to the cigar lighter lights P050, the current socket on dashboard P051, the cigar lighter and the rear current socket P058 A and B (where provided), as well as the radio setup connector P020 (pin A6 of connector A) and the tachograph E005 (pin 2 of connector A);

  • from pin 7 of connector F, to the rear current socket light P052 (where provided);

  • from pin 48 of connector D, to the air conditioner/heater control light G045 and to the climate control system controls light H080 – pin 5 - (only on versions with manual climate control)

The ignition-operated power supply line (INT), protected by fuse F49 inside Body Computer M001, provides lighting respectively:

  • from pin 12 of connector H, for the left control panel H091 (pin 1) and the centre switch unit H090 (pin 1);

  • from pin 15 of connector G, for clock spring junction radio controls D047 (pin 5).
