The front roof light includes two roof lights with two control switches.

The switch on the driver's side switches the roof light bulbs on/off.

If this switch is left in the middle position, both roof light bulbs come on/go off automatically when the doors are opened/closed.

If this switch is pressed on the left, the lights remain off permanently, irrespective of the door opening status. If, on the other hand, it is pressed on the right, the lights remain on permanently.

The button located on the right of the roof light has a spot light function: with the roof light off, if it is pressed on the left the driver's side roof light comes on, if it is pressed on the right, the passenger side light comes on.

To prevent the battery from being run down if the roof lights are left on accidentally by mistake, they go out automatically fifteen minutes after the engine has been turned off.

On some versions, to make getting in and out of the vehicle easier, especially at nighttime or in poorly lit areas, the roof lights come on in accordance with the following logic:

On entering the vehicle the roof lights come on:

• for around 10 seconds when the front doors are unlocked;

• for about 3 minutes when one of the side doors is opened;

• for about 10 seconds when the doors are closed.

The timed period is interrupted when the ignition is turned MAR-ON.

When getting out of the vehicle, after extracting the key from the ignition, the roof lights come on:

• within 2 minutes of the engine being switched off for a period of around 10 seconds;

• when one of the side doors is opened for a period of around 3 minutes;

• when one of the doors is closed for a period of about 10 seconds.

The timed delay period ends automatically when the doors are locked.

There is also a roof light in the centre, located above the right sliding side door and a tailgate roof light located in the crossmember above the swing doors.

These lights, are activated automatically when the relevant doors are opened and can also be activated by pressing the roof light lens cover directly.

For Van versions with the maximum "H3" height trim level there is an extension bridge for connecting the roof light above the right sliding side door.

The power supply for all the roof lights follows the battery voltage control logic ("SBMT"): the Body Computer continuously acquires the battery voltage signal and compares it with its own limit value.

In Key-Off conditions and when any one of the doors is opened, a timed period of 15 minutes is set; all the lights are deactivated after this delay period.
