General information

Depending on the trim level or optional equipment, the wheel rims may be pressed steel or alloy.

The tyres are the tubeless, radial type.

All approved tyres are listed in the registration document.

To ensure driving safety, ensure that tyres of the same make and type are fitted on all wheels.

Do not use air chambers with Tubeless tyres.

Correct tyre reading

Example: 215/70 R 15 109S

  • 215: rated width (S - rated distance between the sides expressed in millimetres)

  • 70: Height/width ratio (H/S), expressed as a percentage

  • R: Radial type tyre

  • 15: Diameter of the rim, expressed in inches (Ø)

  • 109: Load rating (capacity)

  • S: Maximum speed rating

Maximum speed rating

  • Q: up to 160 km/h

  • R: up to 170 km/h

  • S: up to 180 km/h

  • T: up to 190 km/h

  • U: up to 200 km/h

  • H: up to 210 km/h

  • V: up to 240 km/h

  • QM+S(*): up to 160 km/h

  • TM+S(*): up to 190 km/h

  • HM+S(*): up to 210 km/h

(*) Maximum speed index for snow tyres

Load rating (capacity)

Correct rim reading

Example: 6J x 15 ET43

  • 6: Width of the rim, expressed in inches (re. 1)

  • J: rim drop centre outline - side projection where the tyre bead rests (re. 2)

  • 15: fitting diameter, expressed in inches; corresponds to the diameter of the tyre that should be fitted (re. 3)

  • ET43: wheel camber; distance between the disc/rim support plane and the wheel rim centre line

(1) with oversized tyres

Only use the tyres indicated on the vehicle registration document.

If using class C tyres on a Camping vehicle, always use wheels with a metal inflation valve. When replacing, it is always advisable to use Camping tyres.

When the tyres are warm, the inflation pressure should be +0.3 bar compared to the prescribed figure. However, recheck that the value is correct with the tyre cold.

With snow tyres, add +0.2 bar to the pressure recommended for standard tyres.
