FAULT COMPLAINED OF

Depending on the versions, the Customer may claim one or both of the following faults:

Euro 5 versions up to chassis no. 2295771

Possible failure in door locking/unlocking with remote control

Euro 5 versions with chassis no. between 2208381 and 2295771 with external temperature sensor on door mirror (vehicle with Body Computer version SW 2.16)

Possible failed external temperature displaying after temperature sensor removing/refitting on door mirror.

TECHNICAL CAUSE

Software calibrations.

Network behaviour standards towards the Customer

• Once the customer's claimed fault is confirmed, reassure the customer that the fault will be solved by reprogramming the Body Computer.
• After the intervention, show the Customer what has been done and make sure he is satisfied.

Service Solution

Once the customer's claimed fault is confirmed, reprogramme the Body Computer control unit using the new software WEB Flash 10.02.1 (or higher) available from the Examiner Web and wiTEXEDi according to the Operating Cycle below.

OPERATION CYCLE

Connect Examiner or wiTECH Plus (Examiner Emulator) release 8.20.5 (or higher) to reprogramme the Body Computer using the WEB Flash 10.02.1 (or higher) available from ExaminerWeb and wiTEXEDi.

To reprogramme, the car battery must be fully charged or supported by a battery charger/booster battery, so as to guarantee the rated voltage of 12 V.

The following table shows the hardware (HW) and software (SW) codes of the Body Computer Delphi/Marelli, before and after reprogramming.
