The hands-free system for Blue&Me mobile phones firstly allows the use of mobile phones on board the vehicle, making them safe to use.

The system allows a series of operations to be set using voice commands.

The system also allows the reproduction, via the radio system, of music files stored by the user on a USB device for a media player connected to the special socket located in the glove compartment in the centre of the dashboard.

On this version the system is composed of:

• Bluetooth receiver module installed in the dashboard;

• hands-free microphone built-into the centre front courtesy light, with a mounting and screened connecting cable (incorporated in the vehicle wiring);

• radio;

• control panel installed in the centre of the dashboard;

• USB module for media player, composed of an external connector with cables connected to the Bluetooth module;

• multifunction display in the instrument panel.

The control unit that manages the entire system receives a signal from the radio controls on the steering wheel (two special buttons for this function are provided in addition to the radio control buttons).

The alphanumerical display used for showing the messages is the one in the control panel (COMFORT version).

The vehicle is available, on request, with a setup for the installation of a multifunction TomTom Portable Navigation Device (PND) (Copyright © TomTom International BV), which is totally compatible with the Blue&Me system.
