Network behaviour standards towards the Customer

• Once the customer's claimed fault is confirmed, reassure the Customer that the fault will be solved by replacing the hinges with new, improved ones.
• After the operation, show the Customer what has been done and make sure he is satisfied.

Service Solution

Once the customer's claimed fault is confirmed, replace the hinges of the rear swing doors with new, improved hinges, only on vehicles with chassis number ranging between 2089143 and 2233370, according to the Operating Cycle below.

OPERATION CYCLE

With reference to the Service Manual, proceed as follows.

• On both sides of the vehicle, remove the B-post trim, see Op. 7020E12.
• Position the holding tool no. 1.871.003.200 (1 - Fig. 1) shaped as illustrated in the figure and securely secure the rear door wing using a belt.
• Undo the fixing screws for the lower hinge (2) and upper hinge (3) of the door and of the bodywork, then remove them from the vehicle.
• Replace the removed hinges with the new ones, taken from the Spare Parts Dpt. and do up the fixing screws to the bodywork and to the door, without fully tightening.
• Apply new expansion bolts, taken from the Spare Parts Dpt., on the upper hinge (3).
• Apply new expansion bolts, taken from the Spare Parts Dpt., on the lower hinge (2).
• Remove the supporting tool.
• Repeat the same operation on the opposite swing door.
