E3032 REAR VIEW MIRROR ADJUSTMENT - DESCRIPTION OF OPERATION (Euro 5)

The electric windows and rear view mirrors control unit in the driver's front door H051 allows the selection, movement and folding of the desired door mirror.

It receives the ignition-operated supply (15/54), at pin 7 of connector B, protected by fuse F24 located in the engine compartment junction unit B001 (pin 7 of connector A), whilst pin 1 of connector B is connected to the cab earth C100.

Pin 5 of connector B receives the power supply for the internal lighting of the mirror adjustment control.

The left P060 and right P061 door mirrors receive the movement signals from the control unit H051, in particular:

  • from pin 4 of connector B for the horizontal movement of the upper mirror for P060 (pin 3 of connector A);

  • from pin 9 of connector B for the vertical movement of the upper mirror for P060 (pin 4 of connector A);

  • from pin 3 of connector B for the horizontal movement of the lower mirror for P060 (pin 5 of connector A);

  • from pin 6 of connector B for the vertical movement of the lower mirror for P060 (pin 6 of connector A);

  • from pin 12 of connector B for the horizontal movement of the upper mirror for P061 (pin 3 of connector A);

  • from pin 2 of connector B for the vertical movement of the upper mirror for P061 (pin 4 of connector A);

  • from pin 10 of connector B for the horizontal movement of the lower mirror for P061 (pin 5 of connector A);

  • from pin 11 of connector B for the vertical movement of the lower mirror for P061 (pin 6 of connector A);

The shared reference for the motors for both mirrors is supplied at pins 7 of connector A from pin 8 of the control unit H051.

The control unit H051 manages the mirror folding function by means of the connections at connector C. In particular:

  • from pin 1 of connector C it is connected to the cab earth C100;

  • at pin 6 of connector C it receives an-ignition controlled power supply protected by fuse F45 located in the junction unit under the dashboard B002.

  • from pin 5 of connector C it is connected to pin 3 of connector B for the left exterior rear view mirror P060 to carry out the folding;

  • from pin 4 of connector C it is connected to pin 4 of connector B for the left exterior rear view mirror P060 to restore the position;

  • from pin 3 of connector C it is connected to pin 4 of connector B for the right exterior rear view mirror P061 to carry out the folding;

  • from pin 2 of connector C it is connected to pin 3 of connector B for the right exterior rear view mirror P061 to restore the position;

The control unit H051 receives a reference earth, at pin 3 of connector A, for the management of the internal contacts and at pin 6 of connector A it receives an ignition-controlled power supply, protected by fuse F45 located in the junction unit under the dashboard B002 for lighting up the built-in LEDs.
