Check whether the key can be turned freely

Check that there are no external hindrances to key rotation

Example: incorrect position of the steering column cover

  

If the steering column cover interferes, remove the steering column cover and go to Step 2

Check whether the key can be turned freely

Check that there are no external hindrances to key rotation without steering column cover

  

1) The key can rotate freely. Refit the steering column cover and make sure that it no longer interferes with the key rotation after fitting.

2) Key rotation is difficult, replace the steering lock
