Speaker

While performing the control operations, please follow the following handling norms, to prevent any damage during the operation (see figure 1 in the text format Diagnosis)

Go to Step 1

Speaker

Check if there are any objects vibrating in the door pocket or in the glovebox

Go to Step 2

Presence of objects in the door pocket or in the glovebox

Remove the objects causing the vibration

Door panel

The following controls on the door panel must be performed with both hands and slightly pressing.

Check if the vibration disappears locking, one after the other:

• the junction areas of the plastic parts of the door panel. Hold the speaker external grille with your hands.

• the door panel next to the fixing screws (e.g. handle, armrest, etc.).

• the door handle and the handle trim.

• the door panel in the external area, where the plastic barrels engage the metal door.

Repeat this operation along the contour of the door panel.

The test must be performed with operating speaker

Go to Step 3

Vibration caused by an element of the door panel

Remove the vibration on the door panel

Speaker fixing

Disassemble the door panel and check if:

• the screws are not tightened correctly and/or the speaker is not fixed properly;

• the speaker does not reach the surface of the lid;

• pressing the tray in the area of fixing holes, the vibration disappears.

The test must be performed with operating speaker

Go to Step 4

The cause for the speaker vibration was found

Restore the correct fastening of the speaker

Window

Check if the noise is due to the window glass. The noise should stop:

• by fully lowering the glass

• by lifting the glass to the middle position

• by fully raising the glass

The test must be performed with operating speaker

Go to Step 5

The vibration is due to the door window glass mechanism

Remove the noise of the door window glass

Speaker

Check that the braids of the speaker are properly positioned (see fig. 2 in text format Diagnosis)

Go to Step 6

Braids incorrectly positioned

Restore the correct operation of the speaker braids (see fig. 3 in the text format Diagnosis)

Speaker

Make sure that there are no foreign metal bodies between the locator and the diaphragm, or on the diaphragm itself (see fig. 4 in the text format Diagnosis)

Go to Step 7

Foreign bodies between locator and diaphragm or on the diaphragm

Remove the object causing the malfunction

Speaker

Check that the speaker is working properly

End of diagnosis

Incorrect operation of the speaker

Replace the door speaker
