Removing ( Refitting )

- Place the car on a lift.

- Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

1. Disconnect the electrical connector for the engine oil pressure warning light switch.

2. Disconnect the quick connectors for the heat exchanger coolant inlet/outlet pipes, heat exchanger side.

3. Undo the screws (3a) and remove the engine oil heat exchanger mounting assembly (3b).




- Position the engine oil heat exchanger mounting in a vice fitted with protective jaws.

1. Undo and remove the engine oil pressure warning light switch.

2. Undo the screws (2a) and remove the engine oil heat exchanger (2b).




1. Remove the gasket from the engine oil heat exchanger mounting.

2. Undo the screw and remove the engine oil bleed connector complete with plug.




1. Remove the O-rings from the oil heat exchanger mounting.




1. Undo and remove the engine oil filter cover.

1. Remove the oil filter cartridge.

Refitting ( Removing )

- Place the engine oil bleed connector in position complete with plug and tighten the new screw.

- Fit a new oil filter cartridge.

- Install and tighten the engine oil filter cover with new O-rings to the prescribed torque.

- Fit a new gasket onto the engine oil heat exchanger mounting.

- Place the engine oil heat exchanger in position and tighten the new screws.

- Replace the engine oil pressure warning light switch in its housing and tighten it to the prescribed torque.

- Remove the engine oil heat exchanger support from the vice and fit new O-rings on the crankcase side connectors.

- Place the engine oil heat exchanger support in position and tighten the screws.
