The activation control for the dipped beam headlights through the steering column switch unit left stalk ring nut H005 receives a reference earth from the Body Computer M001 (pin 45 of connector H) at pin 4 of the connector A of the same steering column stalk.

The Body Computer M001 (pin 42 of connector H) receives a single activation signal for the DRL lights (OFF position), the side/number plate lights, the dipped beam headlights and the "AUTO" mode from the steering column stalk H005 (pin 7 of connector A): this signal is coded by a special resistive divider, so that various information can be sent from the steering column stalk to the Body Computer with a single connection.

The Body Computer M001 receives a direct battery power supply at pin A of connector A; it also receives an ignition-operated supply (INT) at pin 2 of connector G.

The direct battery power supply is protected upstream by fuse F71 (CPL1) of the B099 maxifuse control unit on the battery (connector D). On the Minibus versions, the above power supply is protected by fuse F73 (CPL1) of the maxifuse box B099 (connector D).

The Body Computer is connected to the earth of the central dashboard C022 (connector A) via pins 1 and 11 of connector G.

The Body Computer M001 manages the switching on of the dipped beam headlights. After receiving the command from the steering column stalk (or the dusk sensor in "AUTO" mode), it supplies the front left F010 (pin 4) and right F011 (pin 4) light clusters, protected by fuses F13 (pin 12 of connector C) and F12 (pin 1 of connector C) respectively, both located in the Body Computer.

The dipped beam headlights are activated by rain / dusk sensor K125 in AUTO mode; the sensor dialogues with the Body Computer via serial line A-BUS (connection between pin 2 of rain / dusk sensor K125 and pin 14 of connector F of Body Computer M001).

    See E1060 A-BUS SERIAL LINE

The dusk sensor is supplied (pin 1) by the INT line protected by fuse F49 of the Body Computer M001 (pin 7 of connector E) and is connected through pin 3 to the cab earth C100.

The Follow me home function is activated by a "main beam headlights flasher" earth signal sent from the steering column stalk H005 (pin 6 connector A) to the Body Computer M001 (pin 43 connector H).

    See E2012 MAIN BEAM HEADLAMPS

Via the CAN line, pins 11 and 26 of connector H, the Body Computer is connected to instrument panel E050 (pins 5 and 6) and manages the general failure warning light and the relevant message on the display in the event of a dusk sensor fault.
