Refitting

- Position the E.G.R. valve/heat exchanger assembly and connecting pipes in a vice fitted using the tool.

1. Undo the fixing bolts (1a) and remove the E.G.R. system solenoid valve (1b) complete with gasket.

2. Undo the bolt and remove the heater water supply pipe complete with gasket.

3. Undo the bolt and remove the water supply pipe to the water-oil heat exchanger complete with gasket.

1. Undo the bolts and remove the thermostat complete with gasket.

2. Undo the engine coolant temperature sensor and remove it.

1. Disconnect the vacuum pipe for the by-pass valve actuator.

2. Undo the bolts (2a) and remove the heat exchanger (2b) complete with radiator pack and gaskets.

Removing

- Place the heat exchanger complete with radiator pack and new gaskets back in its housing and tighten the bolts to the specified torque.

- Connect the vacuum pipe for the by-pass valve actuator.

- Place the engine coolant temperature sensor in its housing and tighten it to the recommended torque.

- Place the thermostat complete with a new gasket back in its housing and tighten the bolts to the recommended torque.

- Place the heater water supply pipe complete with new gasket in position and tighten the bolt.

- Place the water-oil heat exchanger water supply pipe complete with new gasket in position and tighten the bolt.

- Place the E.G.R. solenoid valve in its housing complete with new gasket and tighten the bolts to the recommended torque.

- Remove the E.G.R. valve/heat exchanger assembly and connecting pipes from the supporting tool.
