Removing ( Refitting )

- Position the vehicle on the lift.

- Turn the ignition key to the STOP position.

- Open the bonnet.

1. Open the retaining band (1a) and disconnect the air outlet hose (1b) from the air/air heat exchanger.




1. Open the fixing band (1a) and disconnect the air inlet sleeve (1b) to the air/air heat exchanger.

Position a suitable container for collecting the residual coolant fluid.




1. Open the band (1a) and disconnect the radiator water inlet pipe (1b) from the thermostat.




1. Working on the quick connector (1a) disconnect the water outlet pipe (2b) from the radiator.




1. Working on the mounting clips (1a) and (1b), release the air conditioning condenser (1c) and move it to one side making sure it is secure.




1. Open the retaining band (1a), disconnect the degassing pipe (1b) from the engine cooling radiator.




1. Working underneath the vehicle, disconnect the electrical connections for the relay switch (1a) and the resistor (1b).

2. Release the wiring from the retaining band.




1. Undo the fixing screws (1a) then take out from its seat, rotate forwards and remove the radiator (1b) with engine cooling fans and air/air heat exchanger.




1. Working on both sides, press the retaining clips (1a) and release the duct (1b) complete with fans from the seats.


1. Working on both sides, undo the fixing screws (1a), release the rear fastening pins (1b) and separate the air/air heat exchanger (1c) from the radiator.

Refitting ( Removing )

- Fit the air/air heat exchanger on the radiator, secure it with the rear fixing pins and tighten the fixing screws.

- Fit the duct complete with fans on the radiator checking that it is correctly secured.

- Place the radiator in position on the vehicle, with engine cooling fans and air/air heat exchanger, tighten the screws fixing it to the upper crossmember then fit the condenser fixing it to the retaining clips.

- Working underneath the vehicle, connect the fan motor electrical connections.

- Secure the fan wiring to the retaining band.

- Connect the degassing pipe to the engine coolant radiator and secure it using a new band.

- Connect the quick connector for the radiator water outlet pipe.

- Connect the radiator water inlet pipe to the thermostat and close the band.

- Connect the air inlet and outlet sleeves to the air/air heat exchanger and close the retaining bands.
