Refitting

- Turn the ignition key to the STOP position.

- Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

1. Undo the fastening (1a) and remove the floor trim (1b).

1. Undo the fixing bolts (1a) and remove the inspection cover (1b).

1. Detach the electrical connection.

2. Disconnect the fuel supply and return pipe quick connectors.

3. Remove the retaining band (3a), disconnect the breather pipe (3b) and remove the gasket (3c).

1. Use the appropriate tool to unscrew the submerged pump retaining ring nut.

1. Remove the submerged pump assembly complete with level gauge.

2. Remove the gasket.

Removing

- Fit a new gasket and a new ring nut on the tank.

1. Fit the submerged pump complete with level gauge, aligning references (1a) on pump and on tank (1b); fit the securing ring nut, aligning reference (1c).

- Use the appropriate tool to tighten the submerged pump retaining ring nut.

- Fit a new gasket, connect the breather pipe and secure it using the retaining band.

- Connect the fuel supply and return pipe quick connectors.

- Attach the electrical connection.

- Fit the inspection cover and tighten the fixing bolts.

- Fit the floor covering in place and tighten the fastening.

- Connect the negative battery terminal.
